How to spot whether your Penalty Charge Notice or other paperwork is invalid?

For the Penalty Charge Notice (PCN) this falls into two main categories:

Mistakes made by the Parking Attendant … usually involving individual tickets and often simple ‘human error’ mistakes.

Mistakes made by the local authority … involving ALL tickets in an authority area and often the subject of landmark rulings.

For the rest of the paperwork the local authority has to comply with the legislation … and many council’s paperwork falls far short of what is required by law.

Click through a few of the examples of Penalty Charge Notices … all of which fail to adequately represent the legal requirements.

Once you have subscribed we will show you how the authorities have failed to comply with the law with regard to Notice to Owners, Notices of Rejection and Charge Certificates.
